About, Testimonials and Contact Information:
Melodye Faith Hathaway is a free-lance writer, motivational speaker specializing on loss and grief, poet and author/publisher. She writes for many online publications.
Melodye tells her story "In Search of Jeremy", which is an autobiographical story of the 1977 loss of her 4-yr-old deaf son near Atchison, Kansas, in the Missouri River. The story line focuses around the exhaustive, five day search for his body (which was never found) and the aftermath that followed. It details her struggles of coming to terms with losing a child, and how to cope with this loss.
From this experience she speaks, from her heart, to offer assistance to other parents who might have similar stories of special needs children, loss and grief.

If you ever want an evening to remember, I recommend having Melodye speak to your group. The heartbreak story of losing her son and the finding of the strength inside of herself is compelling. I love this woman and she is welcome to speak at anytime in the library I work at.

Melodye Hathaway is a captivating author, speaker, and radio show co-host. Her experience enables her to speak with passion to the audience about all of the emotions associated with grief and loss. Melodye draws the audience in through her storytelling and has them to talking before you know it.
I have referred Melodye to friends who are having a difficult time dealing with grief and every one of them shared how glad they were for reaching out to her.
As a motivational speaker, Melodye specializes in grief and loss, however, as a radio show co-host she speaks on many topics.
I would highly recommend Melodye to speak to your group or organization.
